LABELS
Woven labels are used in ready wear products for branding purposes or to show the length, size, fiber content, country of origin, model, washing instructions or other information appertaining to the product. Types are slit or woven edge labels in taffeta, satin, damask or reverse satin using polyester, rayon, acetate, lurex or cotton yarns. These produced labels can undergo additional processes, such as stiffening/starching, self-adhesive, embossing, transfer printing or filling.
Printed fabric labels are used in same way as the woven labels. Material types that are used are taffeta, single or double satin and bonded taffeta narrow fabrics made of cotton, polyester or nylon yarns with slit or woven edges. Printing techniques that are used are rotary letterpress printing (direct and indirect), screen printing and thermal foil printing.
Finished products can be cut and folded prior to customer needs, with cold cutting, hot cutting, laser or ultrasonic cutting and end folding, loop folding and mitre folding.
